I enjoy collaboration, whether it is with other artists or with collectors. I like working with people. I appreciate the process of combining with another’s “perspective”, or their idea for a painting and working with them to realize that image in paint. Many commissioned paintings are personal, a special place, or a beloved pet, or, sometimes, a memorable dream, or some particular moment that one wishes to recall visually.

At other times a collector is inspired by a one of my painting which they have already purchased or have seen on my website or on social media. They envision the scene expanded beyond the borders of the original painting.

Often these commissions are given as gifts. This lets me as the artist be a part of the gift-giving...labors of and for love. Things really don't get better, do they?
